Abstract

Of concern is a Fisher type equation with nonlocal reaction term under zero Neumann boundary condition in higher dimensional cylinder. I shall talk about our recent work on the local exponential stability of the traveling waves with noncritical speeds by applying spectral method, and our work on the long  time behavior of solution with more general initial data which decay exponentially at one end or with compact support. It is a joint work with Prof. Xinfu Chen（陈新富，美国匹兹堡大学）, Prof. King-Yeung Lam （林经洋，美国俄亥俄州立大学）and Dr. Qing Li (李青，上海海事大学).

Biography

吴雅萍，首都师范大学数学学院教授、博士生导师，享受国务院特殊津贴的专家。1990年博士毕业于北京理工大学应用数学专业，1990年-1996年在北京应用物理与计算数学研究所从事数学理论研究工作，1997年至今在首都师范大学数学学院工作。主要研究领域为偏微分方程和生物数学的定性研究，代表性研究工作包括反应扩散方程组、抛物双曲耦合方程组及交错扩散方程组的平衡解和行波解的存在性、谱稳定性及解的渐近性研究。1992年获得“邓稼先青年科技理论奖”、1999年获“北京市科技进步二等奖”（排名1），作为主持人先后主持十余项国家及省部级科研项目，作为访问学者曾应邀赴美国和日本多所大学进行研究访问及合作研究。
